Gougères - Take and Bake

Take and Bake Gougères - $5.00/container of about 4 dozen (cheddar and chive savory cream puffs)

Keep gougères frozen until ready to bake. 

Place frozen gougères on sheet tray lined with parchment paper or silpat and let sit at room temperature for at least 20 minutes to an hour.
Pre-heat oven to 400º (375º for convection oven). Bake for 20 to 25 minutes (may only be 15 to 20 minutes in convection oven) until tops of the gougères become golden brown.  Turn oven down 50 degrees and cook until desired doneness. 

If you prefer slightly underdone with a gooey center pull when gougères have a slight squeeze when you squish them.  For fully done with a hollow center pull out of the oven when the gougères become firm.  Serve the gougères warm straight out of the oven and serve, or allow to cool, either way is delicious.
